Summary: In which Bastion is discovered doing the things he does best: leeching off the nation, womanizing and plotting to defect when he gets bored.
"I've had enough of your games, Bastion."
"Huh? Games?" the rogue squinted, trying to see through the bleary mist of a hangover, "I don't owe anybody nothin', you was totally cheatin'!"
"At least try and appear as though you recognise your monarch," Junon sighed, pointing the rapier at his throat.
"Whoa! Junon darlin'!" Bastion scrambled backwards across the nest of cushions. One of his hands made a quick search for one of the knives he kept everywhere, then he saw the rather avian murderous intensity in Junon's eyes and thought better of it, "I think we've come to a misunderstandin' somewhere!"
"No misunderstanding. Ayrios reported everything you said last night while you were very drunk."
Bastion looked genuinely worried, "I didn't accidentally sleep with him, did I? I get him mixed up with Sierra sometimes."
"If so, I was not made aware of that part of the night. Apparently you declared your intention to switch sides, though. I believe there was mention of Izumo's girls being prettier? At least I assume you weren't talking about Bozack."
He waved his hands like a windmill, "I wasn't talking about you! Honest!"
She sighed, "Do you even understand that defection is punishable by execution in Tristan?"
"Such an UGLY word! I was not defecting, I was keeping my options open! Gotta explore Legendra a little more before I find the true me, y'know?" he yawned and stretched, trying to continue the ruse that he wasn't absolutely terrified as best he could. I'm gonna have to sneak out in the middle of the night, he thought, now which girl could he persuade to help him?
