Summary: Yuri considers how he is totally not a pirate and his actions were definitely not piracy, honest.
I'm not a real pirate, right?
I haven't done anything really bad, Yuri told himself. The ships I hit were just supply convoys serving Ropesk. Old Panfilov is the real criminal, forcing his people not to leave the planet while making a mint off space industry. I've only just gone into space. The only ships I can afford are tiny things. If I don't make some fast money, I won't survive for long against the real big fish out there. In the stories you hear about real pirates, they'll do anything for money, kill children, ruin planetary economies, hold families hostage. I'm not like that.
Nia couldn't be like that either. I mean... she just wasn't. Those eyes, that smile, they weren't the expression of a monster, of a murderer.
Of course, he realised, blushing, I'm kinda biased.
