Summary: It’s Topanga’s turn to pick the activity, and her choice is way more interesting than Disney on Ice.

Shawn wanted to bang his head against a wall and ask himself what he was doing here, but he knew the answer. He was here because it was Topanga’s turn to pick.

If she and Cory had been remotely normal, they would communicate solely through lawyers, and Shawn would be home right now, safe and sound and watching Friends reruns in his pajamas. But since Cory and Topanga were the weirdest people on the planet, they’d not only stayed friends, they insisted on having ”Divorced Dates” once a month. Last month Cory had picked Disney on Ice, so this month Topanga got to choose.

“This is going to be so much fun,” she assured them, eyes glowing with a comforting cheer completely at odds with her heavy eyeliner. ”Wait and see!” She spun around to peer over the shoulder of the person in front of them in line, the skirt of her maid’s uniform flaring as she moved.

“I’m sure it will be,” Cory said with enthusiasm so fake even the Home Shopping Network would refuse to sell it. “Aren’t you sure it’ll be fun, Shawn?”

“Yeah. Absolutely,” Shawn said weakly. His gaze landed on the bosom of a girl walking past in a slip and bra, and Shawn twitched. He wasn’t sure this was really the kind of fun you were supposed to have out in public.

“I feel underdressed,” Cory squeaked. “Do you feel underdressed? I feel underdressed.” Shawn nodded mutely and tried not to stare at a tall, blond man in a gold bikini.

“Don’t worry,” Topanga reassured them. “No one expects you to have props and costumes when you’re virgins.”

Shawn snapped out of the sequin-induced stupor he’d been lulled into. “Whoa, now. I think we all know we’re not virgins,” he said reasonably. He even managed not to point out that Topanga had been the one to ensure that Cory stopped being a virgin; saying things like that always made him sound jealous. And petty.

Topanga rolled her eyes and cocked her head to the side. The pose made her hair look enormous and lopsided. “It’s just a word, Shawn. No one’s doubting your virility.”

“Good,” Cory said with a nod. “Because we’re extremely virile and manly.” He opened his mouth to say more, but he got distracted by a man in a corset and fishnets, his platform heels adding a good five inches to his height. Cory stared, his mouth hanging open and his eyes going buggy. He swallowed hard and cleared his throat.

“Shawn?” he said hoarsely. “Can I still be manly and virile if I really want to see you in those shoes?”

Shawn slung an arm around Cory’s shoulders. “You can,” he said. “And if you wear the corset, I’ll wear the heels.”

Cory swallowed again. “Deal.”

Thanks! I adore Rocky Horror, and it's what jumped to mind when I read the word "virgin" in the challenge.

*points to icon* This is Corey and Shawn. They are huge dorks and love each other. It's a really small fandom, so there's not a ton of good fic, but if you want recs, I can point you at some.

:o) It's entirely possible I was projecting. I was fairly Topanga-like in my early twenties, so I assumed that since I loved Rocky Horror, Topanga might enjoy the escape and absurdity of it, too.

I could totally see them having divorce dates XD I always feel so bad about shipping Corey/Shawn because although it's practically as canon as Topanga/Corey, I love T/C equal to T/S, so I instead either have them divorce on good terms (they totally would, should it happen) or instead set my sights on Shawn/Eric, which is my second favorite slash BMW pairing.

I do like Topanga, and it's a lot harder to dismiss her from Corey's romantic life than it is to dismiss a lot of canonical partners who get in the way of my slash. I like fic that takes place after their (amicable) divorece for that reason. I would also love to see fic that shifted things just a smidge so that Shawn was Corey's love and Topanga his affectionate but platonic best friend. It wouldn't take much of a change; just switch which one of them Corey kisses. :o)

Love this. After Cory's reaction to Shawn in 'Chick Like Me', there's no way he wouldn't be all over the idea of him in heels. This is cute, in character, and I like the sense that all three of them are happy and their arrangement works.

Yes, Shawn can totally rock the drag look, and Corey knows it. (He thinks heels do awesome thinks to the shape of Shawn's tushy. And he phrases it just like that. *grins*)

This is the cutest thing ever. I love the idea of Cory and Topanga's relationship ending in a totally amicable divorce where she even wanted Cory's new love to hang out with them.

I love all the little lines in here that make the whole thing great like "Shawn would be home right now, safe and sound and watching Friends reruns in his pajamas" , "the sequin-induced stupor he’d been lulled into" and "He wasn’t sure this was really the kind of fun you were supposed to have out in public." I laughed out loud at the home-shopping network joke too.

Thanks for putting this up. It's one of the few things that I've read where Cory, Shawn AND Topanga all made sense together.
