Our next challenge is: Paradox.

Def:

1. A statement contrary to common belief;
2. A statement that seems contradictory, unbelievable, or absurd but that may be true in fact;
3. A statement that is self-contradictory and, hence, false;
4. A person, situation, act, etc. that seems to have contradictory or inconsistent qualities.

Syn: mystery, enigma, ambiguity; absurdity, inconsistency, nonsense

Go ahead and twist the challenge however you want, it’s up to you. *g*

You have two weeks to write your fic and post or link to it here. I will post a new challenge on Wednesday, July 18th.

Ugh... apologies for this absolute dense question. I have a problem defining whether the fandom I wish to write about is small or not. It involves RPS, and it even has a community (http://pinkfloydslash.livejournal.com/profile)... though it has been a bit 'slow' as of late (aside from 3 or 4 die-hard fans that keep it going, lol).

I don't know if in this case I could post a fanfic written for a challenge in the community. Of course I would not want to post something that would be OT here. :)

No, sorry, that wouldn't qualify. (I've been meaning to make an announcement re what qualifies here as a small fandom -- because I am giving more leeway here than over at our sister comm smallfandomfest re the definition of 'small' -- which would include a revised rule to the RPF category, but even before the revision this type of RPF wouldn't have qualified, sorry.)
