Challenge #118: Oath

The Verge challenge is now closed.

Our next challenge is: Oath.

Def:

1a (1) : a solemn usually formal calling upon God or a god to witness to the truth of what one says or to witness that one sincerely intends to do what one says (2) : a solemn attestation of the truth or inviolability of one's words
b : something (as a promise) corroborated by an oath
2 : an irreverent or careless use of a sacred name; broadly : swearword

Syn: vow, promise, pledge, declaration

Whether they’ve taken an oath or are under oath . . . . Go ahead and twist the challenge however you want, it’s up to you. *g*

You have two weeks to write your fic and post or link to it here. I will post a new challenge on Wednesday, September 25th.

It doesn't look like you've had "creation" yet. Or "destiny/fate/pre-determination". :) That's all I can think of right now.

No, we haven't done 'creation' or 'fate', so I'll add them to my list. We did do 'destined' (#32) if that works for whatever you might want to write for 'destiny/pre-determination'. [As well as 'karma' (#34).]

question and tag fix request

question - if we are writing a multi-chaptered fic and one of the chapters fits a specific challenge, may we submit that specific chapter? or is it one shots only? just for my future reference :)

tag fix request - on the tag for the seaQuest: Nathan/Kristin pairing, just letting you know that Kristin's name is spelled with two I's, no E :)
